Susan Rathmell, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Rathmell is an Alabama native who earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas in 2007. Her areas of expertise include insomnia, adult Autism and ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She is a member of the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine and is listed as a certified insomnia treatment provider on the International Directory of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia providers. Dr. Rathmell is a member of the Alabama Psychological Association and currently serves as its President-Elect. Dr. Rathmell is passionate about increasing clients' access to evidence-based treatment approaches. Her favorite part of her job is seeing clients' relief and pride as they overcome symptoms that have bothered them for long periods of time.

Outside of work, Dr. Rathmell enjoys serving as a Girl Scout troop leader, competing in obstacle-course races and half-marathons, attending concerts (especially if Taylor Swift, Aerosmith, or Dolly Parton are performing!), traveling, Alabama football, and cooking for her family. 

Dr. Rathmell and her husband have two teenagers and a badly-behaved Labrador named Daisy.
