Areas We Serve
Upward Behavioral Health is based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, but we are pleased to be able to offer our evidence-based services to clients almost anywhere in the United States. Many of our providers either have licenses in more than one state or have interjurisdictional licenses through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT). Interjurisdictional licensure allows licensed psychologists to practice across state lines to participating states. Most states participate in PSYPACT.
States not participating in PSYPACT are:

If you are currently located in any other state, then you can receive services at Upward.
Upward provides in-person and telehealth services to clients in the Birmingham, Alabama area, and telehealth services to clients in other locations. Although telehealth may be unfamiliar to some of our prospective clients, it is important to note that the effectiveness of telehealth therapy and evaluation has been repeatedly demonstrated to be equivalent to therapy provided in-person.
